GSS Ghana passes Stage 2 audits!
15th June 2015The IMS team is proud to announce that they have successfully completed the Stage 2 audit for GSS Ghana with no major or minor non-conformities reported!
There has been immense enthusiasm and support shown by the GSS Ghana team and among BMMI’s businesses in Africa. GSS Ghana is the second BMMI operation in Africa to be certified in the international standards ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
After hard work and determination, the Stage 2 audit was completed, with the management system conforming to all the requirements of the two standards.
“According to the auditor, the management system adequately covers the ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 standard and we were recommended for certification,” said IMS Manager, Suttish Boodoo. “Some observations and opportunities for improvement were noted that will be actioned, in order to continually improve the management system.”
The external auditor stated that the Stage 2 audit was satisfactory and all mandatory policies and procedures of the standards were adequately implemented. The auditor also commended the Ghana team on their openness, support and commitment.
EVP – Operations, Robert Smith also shared some kind words. “You must all be very proud, as I am. Let’s use this as the catalyst for great things to develop in Ghana over the coming years.”
